Educator’s Press works with well-written manuscripts and pro-active authors who are open to review and critique, and intend to benefit from our support and professional expertise. In order to maintain high standards, please read our submission guidelines.
About your Manuscript's Text
1. Submit your manuscripts in a single-space Microsoft Word document using Times New Roman or Calibri and in font size 11 or 12.
2. Ensure that the content is presented in the order in which you expect it to appear in the final book.
3. Please include a title page with the author's name, a copyright page, dedication, acknowledgements, and/or a table of contents. (The page numbers can be left out of the table of contents, however, as these will almost certainly change once the book has been professionally typeset.)
4. Include a brief author Bio (2-3 sentences only, highlighting key milestones in your career).
5. Please ensure that all cited sources (if there are any) are appropriately credited in the reference section of manuscript.
6. Insert a page break at the end of each chapter, or after each poem. For preference, please don't use repeated returns, but instead select Toolbar > Insert > Page Break.
7. Please number all pages using auto-numbering. Select Toolbar > Insert > Page Numbers.
8. Please save the file with your family name, the title of your work and the word 'text', eg BookTitle-text.doc.
9. Send to the manuscript as an email attachment or, if the file is large, use a free file sharing service such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
10. Submit through email: educatorspress@gmail.com.
About Your Images (If any)
1. Attach your images separately and not embedded within the text document (as this can degrade the resolution of the image).
2. Send greyscale images if they are to be used in B&W.
3. Supply a separate list of all images, and any helpful notes about their placement within the text plus captions where relevant.
4. Send all content as email attachments if the files aren't too large, or via a free file sharing service such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
5. Make sure to submit photographs that are yours or use photographs that are under Creative Commons license.
1. Submit only original articles.
2. We accept articles, essays, short story, poetry, commentary, lesson exemplar, and other types of manuscripts, either educational, scholarly or literary in nature, written in English, Filipino, or any other mother tongue.
3. Each article or essay should not be more than 500 words.
4. Format your submissions in editable MS Word format in Times New Roman or Calibri body, font size 12, double space, with 1 inch margin on all sides.
5. For articles, pay attention to the introduction, ensuring it hooks the reader and encourages them to continue reading. Use clear, concise language and provide relevant examples or anecdotes to support your points.
6. Provide Proper Citations and Sources: If your article includes data, statistics, or quotes, ensure you provide proper citations and attribute them to the original sources. Accurate information adds credibility to your work.
7. Edit and Proofread: Before submitting, thoroughly edit and proofread your article to eliminate any grammatical errors, typos, or inconsistencies. A polished piece demonstrates professionalism and increases the likelihood of acceptance.
8. Include a Brief Author Bio (2-3 sentences only highlighting key milestones in your career).
9. For photograph submission: Make sure you own your photograph’s copyright, or used under the Creative Commons license (fair use). Send as a separate attachment and not pasted on Word file.
10. Submit your manuscript via our online submission form.
